Roles and Responsibilities
As an Early Years / Afterschools Practitioner you will become a member of the Ballyogan Community Childcare team, responsible for delivering high quality care and learning opportunities for children, based on the needs and interests of those children.
Some of your duties will be:
· Covering for colleagues whilst on leave
· Promoting positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues
· Ensuring health, safety and wellbeing of the children
· Supporting the children's development, learning and play
· Maintaining professionalism at all times
The Successful candidate must have:
· Qualification in Early Years Care and Education (minimum FETAC level 5)
· 2 years' experience working in an Early Years Setting
· Good communication skills – fluency in both spoken and written English
· Experience of and desire to be a team player
· Excellent interaction skills with children and colleagues
· Experience of dealing with challenging behaviours and special needs(desirable)
· Knowledge and experience of working within the Aistear Curriculum Framework (desirable)
· Current Garda vetting
This position is subject to Garda Vetting and 2 satisfactory recent written references, one of which must be from your most recent employer.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: €17.00-€18.00 per hour
