We are currently recruiting a
Staff Grade Clinical Psychologist
to join a dynamic and highly supportive
CAMHS team based in Ballymun
. This is a 6 month to 1 year contract, with the opportunity to work alongside a well-respected and nurturing Principal Psychologist who is deeply committed to professional development and team support.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team, supporting young people and their families as they navigate moderate to severe mental health challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for children and adolescents presenting with complex mental health needs.
* Formulate and deliver individualised, evidence-based interventions (e.g., CBT, DBT-informed approaches, systemic and family interventions).
* Engage in multidisciplinary case discussions and contribute psychological expertise to treatment planning.
* Provide psychoeducation, therapeutic input, and support to families and carers.
* Liaise and collaborate with external agencies including schools, GPs, and social care teams.
* Maintain up-to-date and accurate clinical records in accordance with professional and legal standards.
* Participate in team meetings, clinical supervision, and continuous professional development.
* Contribute to the ongoing development of clinical services and service improvement initiatives.
Eligibility Criteria:
* A recognised qualification at doctoral level (or equivalent) in Clinical, Counselling, or Educational Psychology.
* PSI membership or eligibility for registration.
* Candidates qualified overseas must provide evidence of validation by the Department of Health at the time of application.
* A minimum of one year's post-qualification experience (ideally with children/adolescents or within CAMHS settings).
* Demonstrable experience in psychological assessment and intervention with young people.
* Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, trauma-informed care, and family systems.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team-working skills.
* Ability to manage a varied and complex caseload autonomously.
* Full driver's licence and access to own transport (preferred but not essential for this location).
