The Role As an IT Managed Services Engineer, you will provide second-line technical support and assist with the delivery of IT projects for a range of clients.
Specifically, you will deliver Level 2 support across Microsoft 365 environments, resolving escalated incidents and service requests while performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term technical solutions.
You will also help deliver a range of customer projects, including Microsoft 365 and tenant migrations, device deployments, tenant transitions and infrastructure upgrades, ensuring solutions are implemented efficiently and to a high standard.
Additionally, you will: - Proactively monitor system health, performance and security across client environments - Manage user lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, licensing and permissions - Support device management, compliance and endpoint security best practices - Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to internal knowledge bases - Assist with onboarding new managed service clients - Contribute to change management, service improvements and technical standards About You To be considered as an IT Managed Services Engineer, you will need: - At a minimum, three years experience in a second level (or equivalent) IT support or managed services role - Practical experience with Microsoft 365 administration in multi-tenant environments - Experience delivering IT projects, such as tenant migrations, device rollouts, and infrastructure upgrades - A solid understanding of Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive), Entra ID (Azure AD) and identity management, Intune / Endpoint Manager and device compliance, Windows ***** and Windows Server, backup, security, and endpoint protection solutions - The ability to manage multiple client priorities effectively - Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders Other organisations may call this role Second Line Support Engineer, 2nd Line Engineer, 2nd Line Support Engineer, IT Support Engineer, Managed Services Engineer, Microsoft 365 Engineer, 2nd Line Technician, Senior IT Support Technician, IT Support Analyst, 2nd Line Analyst.
