Applications are invited for a temporary post of a UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 within the UCD School of Chemistry.
This post seeks to develop and optimise organometallic transformations in flow mode in view of scalability, safety and reaction selectivity.
The work will be undertaken in the host laboratories within the School of Chemistry at UCD and will involve an industrial collaborator acting as a project advisor.
The main duties involve investigating different organometallic processes in flow mode to optimise industrially relevant transformations.
The candidate will be able to work independently and report in biweekly project meetings on the research outcomes.
Scalability trials are envisaged as well as dissemination of the results in the form of peer-reviewed publications and talks at conferences.
The Baumann group at UCD explores the application of continuous flow technology for the generation of drug-like building blocks harnessing the benefits of meso-reactor technology for key organic transformations of industrial relevance.
This postdoctoral post will focus on various organometallic transformations in continuous flow mode.
Salary: €46,805 - €47,405 Per Annum Appointment on the above range will be dependent on qualifications and experience.
Closing date: 12:00 noon (local Irish time) on 14 May 2026.
