This is a maternity cover contract Global Mobility Tax Manager role where you will support the Global Mobility Tax Lead who is the focal point of contact for the business on all aspects of international mobility and employment taxes, an area that has evolved significantly due to the continued expansion by the business internationally.
Location Citywest Head Office, flexible hybrid option is 3 days in office min.
Contract 18 month maternity contract role
* Support the Global Mobility and Employment Tax Lead in the oversight of international employment tax compliance for assignees across Ireland, the UK, and wider Europe.
* Monitor tax residency positions, shadow payroll requirements, Social Security (A1/PD) alignment, and multi‑jurisdiction reporting (including PAYE, UK PAYE, Posted Workers notifications, EU local filings, etc.).
* Review complex assignment‑related tax matters and collaborate with external advisors on technical positions, ensuring appropriate application of double tax agreements and foreign tax credit mechanisms.
* Oversee end‑to‑end assignment lifecycle from a tax compliance and documentation perspective, including pre‑assignment planning, on‑assignment support, and repatriation processes.
* Review draft tax returns prepared by external providers and collaborate with advisors to resolve queries relating to foreign tax credits, payroll withholding, shadow payroll entries, and residency positions.
* Support payroll teams in reconciling cross‑border tax liabilities, monthly BIK and subsistence payment instructions and ensuring accurate payroll reporting across jurisdictions.
* Conducting onboarding reviews for contractors and confirming the accuracy of their status determinations in Ireland & UK.
* Proven track record managing international assignments across multiple jurisdictions (EU, UK, Middle East, U.S. etc.).
* Experience delivering employee tax briefings and supporting assignees through lifecycle events.
* Hands on experience of working within a busy team. Experience in a fast paced, multi‐site environment.
* Proven track record of driving continuous improvement of mobility processes, technology use (e.g. Power BI dashboards), and compliance trackers.
* CTA or AITI qualified with 5+ years' experience in global mobility tax, employment tax, expatriate tax, or a related international tax field.
* Strong understanding of international mobility frameworks, including tax residency, double tax treaties, Social Security regulations, and foreign tax credit mechanics.
* Customer focused with the ability to manage conflicting priorities and to meet the needs of different business units.
