Purpose of Role: As part of Tritech Group's ongoing growth, we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Electrical Bid Manager to join our team.
The successful candidate will play a central role in Tritech Engineering's pre-construction activities, bringing together commercial acumen, structured thinking, and strong leadership.
This role is ideal for a senior estimator or pre-construction professional looking to progress into a broader, strategic bid leadership position.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Bid Leadership Governance Lead the end-to-end management of bids from receipt of enquiry through to submission.
Review all incoming tender invitations and assess suitability against company strategy, risk appetite, capacity and capability.
Prepare concise tender summaries and recommendations for review with the Pre-Construction Director at bid control gateways.
Support structured bid / no-bid decisions, improving selectivity and protecting estimating capacity.
Bid Strategy Commercial Input Work closely with the Pre-Construction Director to define bid strategy, win themes and target margins for each opportunity.
Contribute to risk reviews, identifying key commercial, contractual and delivery risks and ensuring they are appropriately addressed.
Tender Planning Resource Coordination Prepare and manage tender programmes, including internal review milestones and supply chain deadlines.
Monitor progress throughout the tender period, maintaining momentum and resolving bottlenecks.
Proposal Submission Management Coordinate the preparation of fully compliant, high-quality submissions, ensuring all client requirements are met.
Write and/or oversee key narrative sections where technical explanation, methodology or approach is critical.
Ensure consistency, accuracy and professionalism across all submission documents.
Manage final submission process, including approvals and issue to client.
Supply Chain Data Management Support the development and maintenance of structured supply chain records, including rates, performance feedback and typical terms.
Promote consistent use of Tritech's digital tools and document control systems as the single source of truth for tender data.
Ensure all tender information is correctly stored, version-controlled and auditable.
Continuous Improvement Capture lessons learned from both successful and unsuccessful bids.
Support continuous improvement of Tritech's bid processes, templates and standards, increasing capacity and improving selectivity as the business scales.
Role Requirements: Must demonstrates strong leadership skills, effectively delegating and managing a senior estimating team.
Strong commercial acumen, with a solid understanding of risk allocation, contractual exposure, and margin protection.
Highly organised, capable of managing multiple tenders concurrently across sectors, geographies, and values with strong planning and prioritisation skills.
Detail-Oriented with a strategic focus, ensuring accuracy while driving project and business outcomes.
Excellent communication skills and must demonstrate capability to summarise complex technical, commercial and programme information for Senior Management decisions-making.
Degree or equivalent professional qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, bid / estimating systems, and experience using digital collaboration/document management platforms.
