Job Title: QC Microbiology Specialist – Contract
We are hiring a QC Microbiology Specialist with a mandatory minimum of 5 years' hands-on pharmaceutical QC microbiology lab experience to support microbiological method transfer and validation activities.
This is a key role within a high-performing Biotech Drug Substance facility, supporting compliance, qualification, and routine QC microbiology operations using modern analytical technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform QC microbiology testing (in-process, release & stability).
* Support method qualification, validation, and continuous improvement.
* Manage deviations, CAPAs, change controls, and data integrity.
* Author and review SOPs, technical documents, and risk assessments.
* Act as SME during audits and inspections.
* Ensure full cGMP compliance and training currency.
* Support cross-functional lab operations and scheduling.
Experience & Skills Required:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a pharmaceutical QC Microbiology lab (mandatory)
* Strong knowledge of pharmacopeial testing.
* Experience with QC digital systems (LIMS, eLogs, ELN).
* Excellent documentation, troubleshooting & communication skills.
* Highly organised, proactive, and team-oriented.
Education:
* Bachelor's Degree in Science (Microbiology preferred)
