Company profileMullan design and manufacture a wide range of bespoke and customised decorative lighting pieces for the retail, commercial and hospitality markets.We are young and dynamic company that is continually expanding who welcome dynamic and enthusiastic members to our team.Main DutiesThe Production Manager will be responsible for:Coordinate the production of orders to meet dispatch deadlines.Identify opportunities to optimise and improve production efficienciesOverall production planning, scheduling, executing, and directing production activitiesEnsure all quality controls in respect to materials, process flow, finished products, packaging and H&S matters are adhered to strictly.Supporting Production Supervisors to plan staffing and ensuring relevant training where necessaryEnforcement of Health and Safety guidelines and compliance with internal and external regulationsEnsure the highest standards of product manufacturingImplementation of Continuous Improvement activities as part of the production processOther ad hoc activitiesCompetencies to perform the role:Have the ability to work under pressureMust have a good understanding of quality manufacturing standard within metalwork industryMust have good communication skills (both written and verbal)Must be willing to train others and ensure that all staff are trained to required levelsBe highly self-motivated with the ability to create a teamwork cultureMust be a team playerBe results driven and continually strive to meet customer expectationsBe organised and efficient and be able to work to tight deadlines while also being flexible towards their work and available to work overtime as is necessaryBe highly organised and detail orientatedAbility to achieve ambitious deadlines in a fast paced environment.Strong attention to detailFlexible approach to working hours/routineExperience and Qualifications:Minimum 3 years proven supervisory experienceWorking knowledge within the metal fabrication / manufacturing industry would be an advantageMust have previous experience of managing multiple staffExperience of using M.R.P. systemsExperience of Continuous ImprovementExcellent computer skillsFluent in EnglishPerforming the role in line with Mullan's Core Values:Knowledge Sharing – No one owns ideas, we share all of our ideas.Honesty.Everyone does their fair share, (Teamwork).Respect Others.Humour.Humility and Gratitude, it's not hard to say thank you or well done.Try new ideas.
