Job Description:
This role is a remote role so can be based anywhere within Ireland with the expectation of regular travel to both customers and ProAmpac sites within Ireland (Wicklow & Donegal). To be responsible for the management of new and existing accounts, ensuring that agreed budgets are achieved and all potential for additional growth is satisfied.
To meet sales targets set by the Sales Director and ensure that customer requirements are communicated and adhered to. To identify opportunities for new packaging formats within the marketplace and liaise with both the sales and technical teams to develop new potential products.
To establish and maintain relevant approvals with retailers associated with the named house accounts, working closely with the Sales Director in these areas to identify new business opportunities.
The ideal candidate will lead the account development and penetration strategy for assigned customers or regions. They should be skilled at building and maintaining relationships with clients and work to provide exceptional customer service to clients.
Requirements:
* Supports annual sales plan to further organisation strategy and objectives.
* Carry out the overall sales plan, including core customer retention, new business development, new product scale-up, and strategic market alignment.
* Implement pricing strategies that ensure optimal profitability, cost recovery and customer retention.
* Lead a sales team capable of carrying out sales and service initiatives. Implement training and development plans for team members to enhance team and achieve organizations goals.
* Aid in hiring, onboarding and training resources as necessary.
* Collaborate with customers, sales team and other divisions to leverage the full breadth of the company’s capabilities and relationships
* Collaborate with other divisions and functional areas to support company-wide objectives and initiatives, including annual operating & strategic plans.
* Participate in new product development justification and launch process by collaborating with product development, sales, manufacturing, supply chain, marketing communications and leadership as necessary to support business development priorities.
* To be flexible in undertaking duties and responsibilities and may be asked to perform other duties with reasonably correspond to the general character of the position and are commensurate with its level of responsibility

Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred, specifically within Packaging or FMCG.
* Understanding of sales performance metrics
* Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite
