Site Foreman - Educational Construction Project
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Site Foreman to join our team on an educational construction project. As a key member of the site team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily site operations, supervising subcontractors, and ensuring the timely, safe, and high-quality delivery of works.
This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires strong leadership and coordination skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to site safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate daily site operations and subcontractors.
* Ensure all work is carried out in line with drawings, specifications, and programme requirements.
* Lead by example in delivering high standards of workmanship and site conduct.
* Support and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards on site.
* Monitor material usage, deliveries, and ensure proper storage and usage.
* Coordinate work sequences with the Site Manager and address any issues or delays.
* Conduct toolbox talks and daily briefings where necessary.
* Act as a key point of contact for trades and suppliers.
* Carry out quality inspections and report any non-conformances.
* Maintain accurate site records and daily diaries.
Requirements
* Time-served tradesperson (e.g., carpentry, concrete, or similar discipline).
* Minimum of 5 years experience in a Foreperson or similar supervisory role.
* Previous experience working on educational or public sector construction projects is highly desirable.
* Valid Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and other site-specific training certs.
* Knowledge of BCAR procedures and temporary works coordination is a plus.
* Strong understanding of current building regulations in Ireland.
