As a Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our operations teams to achieve business objectives and improve profitability. You will be responsible for analyzing material usage, reviewing variances, and implementing corrective actions to improve data accuracy. Additionally, you will participate in process improvement teams to drive greater data accuracy and reporting and reduce cost of production.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
* Analyzing material usage for variances relating to Raw Materials, Powder, and Packing materials
* Collaborating with operations teams to review usage variances and implement corrective actions to improve data accuracy as required
* Participating in process improvement teams relating to material usage control and LEAN to drive greater data accuracy and reporting and reduce cost of production
* Assisting in preparing plans/LBE's quarterly/yearly and loading to external systems and tying out to local records
* Ensuring relevant monthly reconciliations are prepared and approved
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accountancy, with a third-level qualification and at least 5 years' experience in the manufacturing industry. A minimum of 3 years' experience in a cost accounting position is also required. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
