Elderwell is a small Cork based business, that provides Therapeutic Recreation (TR) and activity programs specifically designed to promote the wellbeing of older people through recreation and activities in residential care.
We are looking for experienced, highly motivated, full time facilitators to join our team.
You must have your own transport, be willing and able to travel to multiple locations in county Cork and provide last minute cover when required.
As a TR facilitator, you will be trained to lead recreation sessions with elderly people, with different needs in various Nursing Homes with a focus on improving their quality of life. The sessions include light chair-based exercise, relaxation, team & group-based activities, art and craft, reminiscence, seasonal activities, sports games, music, and songs to create a sense of light-hearted engagement, fun and competition. All our sessions have been carefully designed to embody Therapeutic Recreation (TR) and to stimulate individuals physically, mentally, and socially.
All training will be provided and must be completed prior to commencement of employment.
This position requires a motivated, creative, caring person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deliver the program. You will need to be able to adapt your delivery to suit different situations and people.
Group facilitation and experience with the elderly is a requirement (Healthcare Assistant, Nurse, Recreation Coordinator etc.)
Commencement of employment is subject to Garda Clearance and completion of required courses (full training is provided).
Schedule: Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm.

Pay: €16.50-€21.50 per hour
