Dromoland Castle resort is currently seeking an experienced and reliable Resort General Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated team. We are looking for a proactive, hands‑on professional who takes pride in maintaining high‑quality facilities and ensuring our guests enjoy a seamless and comfortable stay.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out routine preventative maintenance across the estate
Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance requests and emergencies
Perform general mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and repair tasks
Support HVAC maintenance and general facilities upkeep
Ensure guest rooms and public areas remain in excellent working condition
Record and track daily maintenance tasks using the hotel's maintenance software/app
Maintain clean, safe, and organised maintenance stores and workspaces
Assist with preventative maintenance planning and implementation
Liaise with external contractors when required
Uphold all Health & Safety standards and procedures
Working Hours
Full‑time position
5 days over 7, Monday to Sunday
Shift hours between 8:00am - 8:00pm
Weekend work required on a rotational basis
The Ideal Candidate
Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar maintenance or industry role
Relevant trade qualification
Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance systems
Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilitiesGood understanding of Health & Safety regulations
Strong organisational and communication skills
Positive, professional, and team‑focused attitude
Previous hospitality or hotel experience is an advantage
