Structural Steel Detailer
This role involves producing and coordinating models, detailed fabrication drawings and working with the in-house design team to ensure accurate representations of steel components and connections. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering or architecture and proficiency in industry-standard CAD software.
The job requires collaboration and coordination with design teams to resolve any discrepancies, conflicts or modifications to design requirements during the detailing process. It is essential that all shop drawings comply with relevant building codes, industry standards and regulations to guarantee structural integrity and safety.
Responsibilities include preparing shop drawings, assembly drawings, and erection plans; conducting thorough reviews and checks on completed drawings to maintain high-quality standards and accuracy; and communicating design specifications, providing clarifications, and addressing any on-site issues with manufacturing/assembly teams.
The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, have excellent IT skills, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with strong multitasking and organizational skills. A Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering, Architecture or related field is desirable but not necessary.
