Opportunity for an M&E Resident Engineer, with specific Wastewater project expertise, for a Client based role in County Donegal, reviewing, advising, and supervising MEICA Project installations. Due to ongoing contract awards, our Global Clients require MEICA Engineers to join their team and supervise Wastewater Projects in the Donegal region.
To be considered, you should demonstrate previous experience in the design, construction, or commissioning of MEICA Projects at Wastewater facilities such as treatment plants or wastewater upgrades.
As an M&E Resident Engineer, you will:
1. Specialise in Mechanical & Electrical elements with an emphasis on commissioning.
2. Drive project delivery on site for Uisce Éireann, focusing on health & safety, timely delivery, cost management, and quality standards.
3. Ensure works comply with contract documents and specifications.
4. Oversee materials and workmanship, ensuring proper testing and adherence to standards.
5. Monitor and report on works to the Employer’s Requirements.
6. Keep all stakeholders informed of site issues.
7. Implement safety policies and standards.
8. Review and comment on HSQE documentation like RAMS and TMP.
9. Monitor health and safety compliance and conduct weekly site reviews.
10. Report and assist with investigations of any incidents.
11. Participate in HSQE team inspections.
Desired experience:
1. At least 7 years' postgraduate experience, including 4 years in site supervision, contract administration, commissioning, and project management of water/wastewater MEICA works.
2. A Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
3. Knowledge of civil, Mechanical, & Electrical works, design-build-operate projects, and project management.
4. Ability to write clear reports and maintain records.
5. Strong health and safety knowledge and experience.
6. Familiarity with construction contracts, FIDIC, and Public Works forms is advantageous but not essential.
7. Current SafePass card and Confined Spaces training.
Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work well within a team.
