The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced and organised Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day financial administration of a scaling business. This role will be pivotal in ensuring consistent, accurate reporting as they double in size over the coming 18 months.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate and timely financial records in their accounting system (Xero)
* Manage accounts payable and receivable, including supplier invoices, customer billing, payments and collections
* Reconcile bank and credit card accounts monthly and monitor cashflow
* Support monthly management accounts preparation and assist the CFO with reporting
* Assist in transition to an outsourced payroll provider, ongoing liaising, thereby ensuring ongoing accuracy and compliance
* Manage employee expense claims and credit card processing
* Preparing VAT returns and statutory filings
* Support year-end audit process and external accountants as needed
* Ad-hoc finance related projects
Skills and Experience
* Minimum 3 years' experience in bookkeeping or small-company finance
* Solid understanding of Irish accounting and tax processes
* Proficiency with cloud-based accounting systems (Xero experience an advantage)
* High attention to detail, proactive problem-solver, and strong organisational skills
* Ability to work independently within a small, collaborative team
