Electrical Engineer Role in Medical Device Development
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team in the development of medical device products.
About the Job:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced electrical engineer to provide technical expertise and support in the design, development, testing, and improvement of electrical circuits and systems for therapeutic ablation catheters and consoles.
Responsibilities:
* Circuit Design and Development: Design, develop, test, and improve electrical circuits and systems for therapeutic ablation catheters and consoles.
* Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis: Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of electronic test failures, providing solutions at both component and system level.
* Prototype Development: Drive prototype development of catheters and console interfaces from concept to launch, working closely with cross-functional teams.
* Component Selection and Evaluation: Research, evaluate, and select circuits, components, and tools to support advanced therapy device design.
* Documentation and Reporting: Prepare documentation including protocols, technical reports, change requests, and design history files in line with quality standards.
* Innovation and IP Generation: Translate clinical needs into innovative engineering solutions, identifying opportunities for product improvement and IP generation.
* Communication and Project Management: Present technical updates, risks, and milestones to project leaders and senior stakeholders.
Requirements:
* Education: Level 8 degree in Electrical Engineering.
* Experience: 5+ years of experience in medical devices or other highly regulated industries, preferably with catheter-based or implantable systems.
* Technical Expertise: Hands-on expertise in circuit/system design, system troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
* Regulatory Knowledge: Proven experience with regulatory/safety standards (IEC60601 series, EMC).
* Soft Skills: Strong communication, documentation, and project management skills.
