Dornan are currently recruiting for a Junior Mechanical Project Engineer to work on one of our projects in Cork.Dornan are a leading Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation contractor with projects in Ireland, Mainland Europe, the Nordics and the UK. Dornan are involved in projects across many sectors such as Pharmaceutical, Data Centre, Healthcare, Education, Commercial, and Power Generation. Your day to day will include:Engage in Pre-Construction Engineering activities and the production of information including, design development, construction details, technical submittals and sub-contractsEngage in services co-ordination exercises and solve co-ordination issuesLiaise with vendors, suppliers, sub-contractors, specialist designers, manufacturers, etc. with respect to the specification, validation and value Engineering of products and equipment to be supplied to the projectLiaise and co-ordinate with clients other members of the design team and contractors on technical and commercial issuesDevelop and build project cable and cable termination schedulesSeek to clarify queries with the design team through the request for information (RFI) systemPrepare and Submit Technical Submittals for approvalAll other reasonable tasks assigned to you from time to time from your managerWhat we are looking for:1-2 years post graduate experience.Ability to prioritize workloadsRecognises own strengths and weaknesses and committed to ongoing developmentAcceptance of responsibility and accountability#LI-KK1 #DOR1Why Dornan?Our commitment to our employees development - we offer career progression pathways, always seeking opportunities to promote and upskill our people.Health & Wellbeing - Fostering health and wellbeing is paramount to creating a supportive and inclusive work environment.
