About the Job
A skilled Transportation Specialist is sought after to join our team. This role involves working with a modern fleet of Volvo trucks and trailers, ensuring that vehicles are well-maintained and compliant with safety and legal requirements.
* Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on vehicles to the highest standards.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults using computer diagnostic equipment and traditional methods.
* Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
* Collaborate with drivers and other team members to ensure minimal vehicle downtime.
* Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Requirements
* Recognised qualification in transportation mechanics or equivalent experience.
* Proven experience working with heavy goods vehicles, preferably with Volvo trucks and trailers.
* Experience with computer diagnostics is highly beneficial.
* Good written and spoken English is essential for effective communication and record-keeping.
* A full, clean driving license is preferred but not essential.
