Reporting directly to the Product Engineering Managero Supporting the Engineering Team in the development of a design concept for specialityAHU (Air Handling Unit), IEC (Indirect Evaporative Cooler), DEC (Direct EvaporativeCooler), CDU (Cooling Distribution Units)o Component verification & selection of coils, compressors, fans, dampers, actuators,filters, louvreso Preparing and reviewing technical documentation for these designs including but notlimited to: Installation and Maintenance Manuals, critical spare parts lists, technicalsubmittals, drawings, component selections, unit datasheets, etco Assist the Application Engineering team in preparing submissions for tender related tothe key client and others where necessary, including but not limited to technical reviewof specification documentation, organisation and compilation of technical responses onbehalf of the team in conjunction with design team and key account managero Ensure unit designs are in accordance with the approved Project specificationso Coordination with the production team to ensure seamless integration of design intomanufactureo Ensuring consistent quality and design across all projects relating to this customer andtheir specificationsThe successful candidate will have:o Experience in CAD software and 3D modelling software specifically SolidWorkso A mechanical/HVAC/Building Services engineering degree or related fieldo Minimum 2+ years' experience in mechanical HVAC design and selection for similartechnologies, preferably in a manufacturing applicationo Moderate-Advanced level Microsoft Excel skillso Ability to work alone and in a team environment.o Have a positive, pro-active approach to working in a team environment along withexcellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.o Proficient IT Skills.o Experience interpreting 2D drawings.Preferred experience also includes:o LEAN training and/or experience of working in a LEAN organisationo Experience in HVAC manufacturing designo Experience in mechanical and/or controls design of datacentre air handling unitso Experience in building services engineering is desirableo Experience of using Revit is desirable
