I'm partnering with a leading national organisation within one of Ireland's most essential care sectors to recruit a
Communications & Policy Officer
—someone who can shape conversations, influence policy, and bring clarity to complex issues. If you thrive at the intersection of storytelling and strategic advocacy, this is a standout opportunity.

Location:
Dublin West (Hybrid)

Salary:
€45,000-€50,000

The Role:

Communications & Content

* Deliver the organisation's communications strategy across digital, media, and member-facing channels.
* Produce clear, engaging content including press releases, speeches, newsletters, briefs, and reports.
* Drive social media storytelling and ensure consistent, impactful messaging.
* Prepare media materials such as Q&As, briefings, and background notes.
* Support and lead campaigns that highlight sector challenges and celebrate member success.

Policy, Advocacy & Analysis

* Monitor legislative, regulatory, and political developments in health and social care.
* Conduct research and draft policy briefings, submissions, and analytical pieces.
* Contribute to evidence-led advocacy strategies that advance sector priorities.
* Assist in representing the organisation in engagements with government, regulators, and key partners.
* Support the production of policy reports, consultation responses, and thought-leadership content.

Member & Stakeholder Engagement

* Develop accessible communications that help members navigate evolving policy and regulatory requirements.
* Support the delivery of events, forums, and policy briefings.
* Ensure advocacy and communications reflect real-life member experiences and frontline care realities.

What you'll need:

* Degree in communications, public policy, political science, journalism, or related field.
* 2–3 years' experience in
communications, policy, or advocacy.
* Strong writing skills across multiple formats.
* Understanding of Irish political systems, public policy processes, and/or the health and social care environment.
