Work with our team to support individuals who are blind or vision impaired in achieving their employment, training, and education goals.
This role is part of a project funded by the government's WorkAbility initiative. Our goal is to remove barriers to employment and promote equal opportunities for all.
Key Responsibilities:
* Help participants gain employment, training, or education opportunities.
* Develop personalized plans to track progress and achieve goals.
* Deliver job readiness training and provide one-on-one job search support.
* Collaborate with employers to ensure long-term placements.
* Take a person-centered approach to help participants achieve their objectives.
Business Development:
* Promote the benefits of employing individuals with vision impairments.
* Identify and engage new business partners.
* Support awareness campaigns to increase employer participation.
* Network with industry partners to expand opportunities.
Requirements:
* Degree-level qualification in social studies, community work, health/social care, psychology, or related field.
* Knowledge of national employment policies and rights promotion.
* Experience working with service users to assess quality in services.
* Strong communication, report writing, and facilitation skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and preferably CRM systems.
* Flexible, creative, resourceful, with strong problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Willingness to travel and adapt to changing circumstances.
