They are an essential part of our operations helping us to grow our impact and financial sustainability while controlling our operational costs. Volunteers include individuals from the community, corporate groups, and other community stakeholders. The Volunteer Coordinator will be part of the Development team and will report to the Volunteer Manager. This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration and communication as you will work with teams across FoodCloud.During the late summer/autumn, FoodCloud works with farm partners to "glean" or collect leftover crops from farmers' fields after they have been harvested, this role will coordinate several gleaning events across Ireland, liaising with farm partners, coordinating volunteers and reporting on outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the day-to-day coordination of volunteers across all FoodCloud programmesDeliver on the recruitment, scheduling, onboarding and training of community volunteers to meet FoodCloud's operational needs across the organisation.Manage and develop the Community Volunteer programme to foster a positive and inclusive experience for all volunteers, including rewards and recognition programming, volunteer satisfaction, training needs, supply maintenance, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.Support the day-to-day operations of the Corporate Volunteer Programme; act as operations liaison, conduct corporate induction sessions, monitor inbox and manage scheduling changes and support corporate volunteer experience improvementsCoordinate the FoodCloud Gleaning Programme, taking place on various dates between July and November; liaise with third-party suppliers, supervise and volunteers on-site, and complete regular reportingAct as the main point of contact for outgoing volunteer communications including volunteer satisfaction surveys, Newsletter, and volunteer pre-arrival informationSupport with volunteer coordination for once-off events and employee volunteering in cross-functional collaboration with internal teamsManage data collection and reporting relating to Community Volunteers.Collaborate with teams across the organisation including Hub & Kitchen Operations, Communications, Community Development Team, Support Fundraising.Εnsure FoodCloud's mission and vision are clearly communicated to our volunteers and champion the appreciation and visibility of volunteers within FoodCloud.Contribute to the enhancement of internal processes relating to volunteering by identifying, developing, trialing and implementing processes to support efficiency and volunteer experienceThis role will require occasional travel to our Cork and Galway hubs as well as rural gleaning locationsInfrequent evening or weekend work required to support events.Additional duties as required per business needsSkills and Experience2+ years' professional experience working programme coordination. Experience in the non-profit sector is an assetCompletion of second-level education is required, with a third-level degree being strongly preferred, or a combination of equivalent education and relevant professional experience.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to act as an ambassador for FoodCloud and engage at all levels with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, strengthening the brand and raising awarenessPositive attitude to working in a fast-paced and frequently changing environment, demonstrable ability to problem-solve and adaptAbility to work on own initiative, demonstrate innovative thinking and and be proactive and solution-orientedDemonstrable capacity to coordinate and manage multiple projects and prioritise against competing deadlinesAbility to relate well to others, work with a diverse team, and treat all volunteers equallyStrong presentation skills. Experience delivering training or workshops is beneficial.IT literacy, particularly with using GSuite applicationsAptitude and willingness to undertake occasional physical work e.g. lifting crates of produce during gleaning eventsValid, clean full Irish driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes is requiredCRM experience, particularly in Salesforce is beneficialAn existing certification in Emergency First Aid is beneficial.
