CANDIDATES MUST HAVE AN UNDERSTANDING OF HACCP AND FOOD SAFETY
We are currently looking to Interview individuals with Catering / Kitchen Assistant experience to work across DCM Sites - Mount Tabor Nursing Home, Margaretholme, Ailt An Oir and Beaufort Day Service. Applications are invited from suitably experienced candidates from within the European Union and / or candidates that have permission to work full time in the State.
This is a permanent 30 hours per week role.
Role Profile:
To assist with the preparation of meals and snacks for the residents within the guidelines laid down by the Environmental Health Service (EHS) and Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA).
Qualifications:
* Food Safety Training Level 1
* Previous experience of working in a professional kitchen.
Responsibilities:
* Washing up of all items used in the kitchen area and maintaining cooking and storage areas in a clean and tidy state in line with cleaning schedules.
* Carry out any general dining room duties i.e. laying, cleaning tables etc.
* Transporting meals to other specified locations as required.
* Simple preparation of food as required by the Chef.
* Deep Cleaning duties.
* To undertake such other duties as may be determined from time to time within the general scope of the position.
* Attend training courses as required.
* Attendance at staff and department meetings.
* Raise any health and safety issues to the Head Chef promptly.
Work Pattern
* Hours: Hours – 30 hours per week,4- 5 days over 7
