Berkeley Solicitors is a niche law firm specialising in immigration law. They are looking to recruit an Immigration Solicitor to join their busy team.
Responsibilities
* Managing a full caseload of active immigration files
* Daily legal advice consultations in the area of immigration law
* Preparing and drafting immigration applications to the Department of Justice and other relevant bodies
* Preparing and drafting employment permit applications to the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment
* Issuing Judicial Review proceedings and managing Judicial Review files
* Attending court in person or remotely
* Updating precedent library
* Training caseworkers and support assistants
Qualifications
* Previous experience working as a solicitor in the area of immigration law/international protection/human rights essential
* Previous experience in litigation will be preferred
* Excellent knowledge of immigration law and practice in Ireland
* Strong work ethic, hard working, pro active and attention for detail
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* An ability to manage a very busy workload and meet deadlines
* Be very well organised in all aspects of a fast paced, multi tasked role
* An ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
* Willingness to constantly learn from working with experienced team members, keeping up to date with caselaw, attending CPD events and conferences, etc
