This role focuses on the movement of linen, supplies, and waste; maintaining cleanliness in public areas; and assisting room and laundry attendants with operational needs to ensure smooth daily operations.Key ResponsibilitiesTransport clean and soiled linen between floors, laundry, and storage areas.Distribute housekeeping supplies, guest amenities, and cleaning products to room and laundry attendants.Collect rubbish and recycling from housekeeping stations and dispose of it correctly.Assist with setting up and closing down housekeeping service areas each shift.Support room attendants during busy periods with tasks such as delivering linen or removing waste.Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding stock levels and operational needs.Maintain cleanliness of public areas, including corridors, lobbies, lifts, stairwells, staff areas.Wipe surfaces, vacuum carpets, mop floors, and clean mirrors, doors, and windows as required.Ensure all public area bins are emptied and replaced with fresh liners.Provide courteous and professional service to guests when encountered in public spaces.Assist guests with directions or requests.This job description is not intended to be either prescriptive or exhaustive, it is issued as a framework to outline main areas of responsibility at the time of writing.Required Experience & SkillsPrevious experience in housekeeping, cleaning, or hospitality (preferred but not required).Good physical fitness and ability to lift, carry, and move equipment or linen.Strong attention to detail and pride in work.Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.Good communication skills and positive attitude.Eligibility to work in Ireland.The Grace Westport Estate is an equal opportunity employer.
