Company:Oliver WymanDescription:Oliver Wyman is seeking a Principal Researcher, Human Insights to join our Quotient team in Dublin. Our Quotient Team is seeking a Principal Researcher to serve as a core contributor within the Product Strategy team, providing deep, evidence-based understanding of end users and human behavior to inform firm-wide product, capability, and AI strategy.This role is a hands-on human insights research expert responsible for executing complex research initiatives and translating findings into clear, decision-ready insights that shape product concepts, strategy narratives, and leadership discussions.The Principal Researcher ensures that product and capability decisions are grounded in rigorous research and strong end-user empathyPlease Note: Oliver Wyman/Marsh operates a hybrid working policy of at least 60% in-office attendance Key responsibilities will include:Designing and executing market, qualitative, and quantitative research to inform product and capability strategyConducting surveys, interviews, diary studies, desk research, and behavioural researchSynthesizing qualitative and quantitative data into clear, decision-grade insightsDeveloping personas, archetypes, and behavioural frameworks reflecting real user contextsContributing directly to strategy decks and leadership materials with evidence-based insightsTranslating research findings into implications for product concepts, initiatives, and prioritizationMaintaining deep end-user focus, consistently stepping into the shoes of consultants and practitionersPartnering with Product Strategy, Design, and Product teams to embed insight early in decision-makingWho we are looking for…8+ years of experience in user research, consumer insights, human-centred research, or behavioural researchProven experience conducting both qualitative and quantitative research independentlyDemonstrated experience with surveys, diary studies, interviews, synthesis, and behavioural analysisExperience developing personas, archetypes, and behavioral insights to inform strategy or product workExperience working in or alongside product strategy, design, consulting, or technology teams preferred in a professional services environmentAdvanced qualitative research execution and synthesisSurvey design and applied quantitative analysisResearch documentation and insight storytellingFamiliarity with research and collaboration tools (survey platforms, Miro/Mural, presentation tools)Additionally, you'll be: End-user obsessed, with strong empathy and curiosity about human behaviourHighly analytical and a structured thinkerA compelling communicator, comfortable shaping executive-level decks and narrativesIndependent and proactive, able to drive research activities end-to-endCollaborative in working style across strategy, design, and product teamsAble to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and to navigate and excel in a complex, matrix organization, and relate successfully to a variety of peopleOliver Wyman is a business of Marsh (NYSE: MRSH), a global leader in risk, reinsurance and capital, people and investments, and management consulting, advising clients in 130 countries.
