We are currently working in partnership with a well-established and growing engineering services contractor to appoint a
Junior Mechanical Project Engineer
for their Dublin operations. The organisation delivers high-spec mechanical solutions across complex construction environments, including technically demanding projects, and offers clear progression for engineers looking to develop their careers.
This role reports directly into senior management and will support the delivery of mechanical systems across live projects, from design coordination through installation and client handover.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the review and coordination of mechanical design documentation under the guidance of senior team members
* Assist with monitoring site activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards
* Contribute to the preparation of technical documentation, including reports, drawings, and requests for information (RFIs)
* Work with internal teams to track project progress, procurement timelines, and quality inspections
* Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders as part of the wider engineering team
* Participate in team meetings and training programmes to build technical and project management skills
* Ensure that all tasks are completed in line with health and safety and compliance requirements
Key Skills & Experience
* Recent graduate (Level 7/8) in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
* A strong interest in building services, mechanical systems, and construction environments
* Familiarity with software such as AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office is desirable
* Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
* Willingness to learn and take initiative in a structured engineering team
* Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues and external partners
* Must be eligible to work in Ireland without the need for sponsorship
