GMC are currently looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to join our team.
GMC Utilities Group is currently looking for an experienced Commercial Manager with to join our team for a large scale infrastructure project.
This is a key strategic role, requiring on-site presence across the North West of Ireland.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in utility infrastructure, with a deep understanding of Design & Build (D&B) contracts.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading civil and utilities company offering an excellent package for the right candidate.
Key Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
Managing commercial aspects of large-scale infrastructure projects.
Overseeing cost planning, forecasting, and value engineering.
Leading contract administration and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
Providing input to strategic decisions affecting commercial performance and risk.
Supporting tender submissions, subcontractor procurement, and pricing strategies.
Engaging collaboratively with project teams, clients, and stakeholders.
Managing change control, claims, and dispute resolution.
Delivering accurate and timely reports on project financials.
The Candidate: Required Experience and Competencies:
Proven experience as a Commercial Manager on large infrastructure projects.
Extensive experience in utility infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of Design & Build contracts.
Ability to be based in or travel to Mayo/ Roscommon during the work week.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline preferred.
