Operations Manager
We are seeking a skilled Operations Manager with extensive experience in MIG and TIG stainless steel welding and fabrication. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, excellent leadership and people development skills, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specs.
* The Operations Manager will lead welding and fabrication efforts, taking on complex and technically demanding projects.
* He/She will oversee production planning to ensure jobs are delivered on time and to the highest standard.
* Purchasing of materials and supplies will be managed by the Operations Manager, who will maintain strong supplier relationships.
* Training and upskilling team members will be conducted by the Operations Manager, ensuring high safety and quality standards on the floor.
* Customer engagement and technical site visits will be part of the Operations Manager's responsibilities, helping to build relationships and address project needs.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading welding and fabrication efforts, taking on complex and technically demanding projects.
* Oversight of production planning to ensure jobs are delivered on time and to the highest standard.
* Management of purchasing for materials and supplies, maintaining strong supplier relationships.
* Training and upskilling team members, maintaining high safety and quality standards on the floor.
* Engagement with customers, including building relationships and addressing project needs through technical site visits.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Extensive experience of MIG and TIG stainless steel welding and fabrication, with the ability to demonstrate this.
* Experience managing production and operations in a fabrication or engineering setting.
* A solid background in engineering, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specs.
* Strong leadership and people development skills.
* Comfortable managing customer relationships and representing the company on-site.
* Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
* A full, clean driver's license (for site visits).
