Technical Admin Position
The role is a hybrid model, requiring the successful candidate to work approximately 1-2 days per week on-site. This position involves configuring and maintaining infrastructure, encompassing various technologies. Key responsibilities include testing, implementing, monitoring, and tuning platforms to ensure optimal availability and performance.
Main Responsibilities:
* Configure and maintain infrastructure to ensure optimal availability and performance.
* Provide technical support in both office and remote environments during scheduled and unscheduled after-hours work.
* Deliver high-quality service to internal and external customers.
* Offer consultancy services to internal stakeholders on security and compliance matters.
* Proactively identify opportunities to enhance existing systems, potentially involving new technology, streamlined processes, or automation of manual systems.
* Implement controls to detect potential problems before they impact customers and systems.
* Participate actively in process and technical improvement initiatives and procedures.
Required Skills and Experience:
* At least 5 years of experience in implementing, supporting, and administering IT infrastructure within a large corporate environment.
* Third- or fourth-level support capability in areas of expertise, including investigation, troubleshooting, documentation, and resolution of critical system failures and intermittent/performance issues.
* Proven ability to work independently as a proactive/self-starter.
* Familiarity with WAN and LAN environments (routers, firewalls, VLANs), Windows Server (AD&GPO, DNS, DHCP, IIS, SQL, WSUS, SharePoint), and Linux.
* Coding or scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, Python, and cloud environments such as Azure and/or AWS.
* Understanding of ITIL processes and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
