Job Purpose:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at Lily and Wild Newbridge. As a Senior Chef de Partie, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our Head Chef in developing and delivering high-quality dishes. You will also help train and mentor junior staff while managing your own section of the kitchen. Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and execute menus, ensuring quality and consistency.
* Oversee the daily preparation of ingredients, ensuring adequate stock is maintained.
* Assist with menu planning and stock management to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
* Manage food costing and work to maintain or improve profit margins.
* Be proactive in liaising with suppliers for orders and inventory management.
* Supervise and support junior chefs, training new team members when needed.
* Ensure the kitchen operates smoothly, maintaining a positive, productive environment.
* Enforce adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards across the kitchen.
* Act as a leader in the kitchen, managing staff performance and providing feedback.
* Work closely with other kitchen teams to ensure seamless operations.
* Implement new processes and procedures to optimize kitchen workflow and productivity.
Education, Experience & Skills Required:
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Senior Chef de Partie or similar role.
* Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
* Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
* IT literacy for inventory and stock management.
* A passion for food quality, fresh produce, and the latest cooking practices.
