construction company based in Galway
, is seeking a dedicated accounting professional to join their growing finance team.
This position would suit candidates
living in East Galway or commuting from Galway City
who are looking for a long-term role in a stable and expanding company.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, and reconciliations.
* Prepare monthly management accounts and assist with financial reporting.
* Support project costing, budgeting, and job cost control for construction projects.
* Manage VAT, RCT, and payroll submissions in line with Revenue requirements.
* Assist with audits and liaise with external auditors.
* Partner with project managers to analyse financial performance and profitability.
Skills & Experience
* Qualified or part-qualified Accountant (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent).
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within
construction or contracting
.
* Strong knowledge of
RCT, VAT, and CIS regulations
.
* Excellent Excel skills and experience with accounting software such as Sage or Big Red Book.
* Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and excellent communication skills.
