The Finance team here at the Swords campus are looking for a qualified Business Controls and Fixed Assets Accountant, on a Permanent basis, reporting to the Finance Manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Record fixed asset acquisitions, dispositions, depreciation and impairment in the accounting system
2. Manage Fixed Assets Accounting
3. Conduct periodic physical counts of fixed assets
4. Track the compilation of project costs into fixed asset accounts, and closeout those accounts once the related projects have been completed, ensuring proper capitalisation and accounting for expenses
5. Track company expenditures for fixed assets in comparison to the capital budget and management authorizations
6. Recommend to management whether fixed assets should be disposed of
7. Conduct analyses related to fixed assets as requested by management
8. Recommend to management any updates to accounting policies related to fixed assets
9. Perform balance sheet reconciliations for all fixed assets groups Manage internal controls compliance
10. Manage SOX controls processes and requirements, ongoing execution and monitoring of internal controls over financial reporting
11. Report on control deficiencies as well as recommend remediation activities
12. Coordinate and close out company audits, both internal and external, and the testing of internal controls
13. Identify, control and manage control risks, simplify and standardize processes and reporting
14. Assist with corporate policy and local policy review and implementation, and own GOA/DOA system Minimum
Requirements:
15. Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
16. Strong fixed assets background with experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel
17. Understanding of SOX controls
18. Min 3 Year experience in a similar role
19. Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy is essential
