Overview
Dublin City Council, a local authority with a workforce of 6,200, is seeking a Senior Scientist to lead a multidisciplinary team and oversee the largest laboratory in the local authority sector, analysing approximately 30,000 environmental samples annually.
Responsibilities
Lead a team of chemists, biologists, microbiologists, technicians, administrative and support staff.
Run the laboratory and manage analysis of drinking water, bathing water, reservoirs, rivers and streams to ensure compliance with national and EU standards.
Coordinate with other departments and external agencies as necessary.
