Process Scientist / Engineer - Ireland, Sligo - 12 Month Contract
Located on the picturesque west coast of Ireland, our global pharmaceutical client is seeking a Process Scientist / Engineer to join their state-of-the-art pharmaceutical facility. They have invested $55 billion in research to discover and develop new medicines, aiming for scientific breakthroughs and to improve lives. Essential duties and responsibilities:
* Leverage detailed understanding of the science behind antibody drug conjugates (ADC).
* Serve as SME for technology transfers and ongoing manufacturing.
* Collaborate with Research & Development and Drug Product Development teams to develop and transfer robust, fit-for-purpose process control strategies for new product introductions (NPI).
* Author gap assessments, facility fit studies, process safety, and risk assessments for NPI.
* Design, onboard, and test single-use assemblies for sterile ADC manufacturing.
* Act as SME for equipment selection and C&Q activities for new equipment.
* Document and communicate project status through scientific reports, technical documentation, and presentations to stakeholders.
Desirable experience:
* Graduate degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Science, or related discipline with extensive experience (MSc) or strong experience (PhD) in the biopharmaceutical industry.
* Experience with at-scale ADC manufacturing, including conjugation and fill-finish operations.
* Detailed understanding of the chemistry of large molecules and protein conjugation, demonstrated through successful project execution.
* Desirable: Experience with new product introductions and technology transfers to fill-finish manufacturing facilities.
