Job Title: Butler Outline of Position: The butler primarilyserves as a key point of contact for Guests throughout their stay at the hotel.He/she should be fully conversant with all services and facilities offered bythe hotel and also about the local vicinity. Also provides a courteous,professional, efficient, flexible and personalised service at all times. Atall times, maximising our guests' customer service experience.Key Roles and Responsibilities: · Takecare of all Address guests and coordinate with all concerned departments to fulfilguest needs and requests.· Ensureall guests are greeted at the property on arrival, and that luggage assistanceis provided. · Liaisewith the front office, escort all Address guests to their room/suite, andprovide hotel information in accordance with standard operating procedures.· Conductthe in-room check-in process in a professional and efficient manner. · Fullyconversant with accommodation features: layout, room type, location, decor, in-roomfacilities and equipment.· Fullyaware of operating procedures for all electrical and electronic equipment inthe guest room.· Fully aware of the Room Service, Parlor and Northmenus, answers questions on menu selections, communicates with the kitchenregarding menu questions and product availability.· Keepsconcerned departments informed about the guest's allergies and foodpreferences.· Updatethe hotel software with guest preferences, likes and dislikes in the guestprofile section.· Followsall the guests' needs until they are completed to the total guest satisfaction.· Takescare of the guest's requests and liaises with respective departments: laundry, wake-upcall, lunch/dinner bookings, concierge and any special requests, etc.· Checksin with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages.· Informs the housekeeping department of the timedesired for the daily cleaning and turn-down service as appropriate.· Servesthe guests in a calm, discreet and courteous manner, respecting timingstandards.· Supportsthe other departments, such as Front Desk, Housekeeping and Room service withtheir duties.· Picksup trays and cleans tables as needed to ensure a clean dining area. · Maintaincleanliness of work areas throughout the day.· Performsall his/her duties with a sense of priority and dedication.· Hostsand welcomes all guests in a gracious and polite manner, and can hold aconversation with the guest in a natural and spontaneous manner.· Carriesout checkout in an efficient manner, offering luggage assistance andtransportation.· Wishesa fond farewell to the guest at the time of departure.· Toarrive promptly on duty as scheduled in a full, clean & presentable uniformat all times in accordance with company grooming policy.· Adhereto the company's Code of Conduct.· Tocomply with company regulations regarding fire, health and safety, hygiene,customer care and security.· Toread, understand and carry out your responsibilities as defined in the Healthand Safety Statement and Staff Handbook.· Adhereto all regulations in respect of Health and Safety, hygiene, guest safety, fireregulations, emergency procedures, etc· Allstaff of the company are required to make themselves available for training andcommunication meetings, for which advance notice will normally be given. Thecontent of all training sessions and issues addressed at team meetings must beadhered to.· Tocarry out any reasonable duty requested by a manager, senior staff member or a requestof a guest.Please note that the abovejob specification is not exhaustive and is subject to change as the businessdemands.
