The Role:In response to our continued growth, we nowseek a capable and experienced Construction Operations Manager to join ourbusiness. Reporting directly to the owner, our Construction Operations Managerwill take full ownership of project execution — from planning stages rightthrough to handover.This is a hands -on leadership role, ideal forsomeone with a background in project managing in modular or traditional on -siteconstruction and who can manage multiple live projects, coordinate teams, anddeliver consistently high -quality results on time and on budget. Responsibilities 1)Project Delivery:Using proven project management experience, manage end to end delivery of our room builds to clients, ensuring that SLA's, timelines, schedules, budgets and resourcing plans are in placeEnsure quality control processes and checks are in place throughout the design and implementation processMaintain compliance with H & S during implementationCoordinate onsite activities and liaise with the client, guaranteeing a smooth handover to our client's delight 2) Operations Management:Oversee all construction operations including logistics, procurement, and supplier coordinationTrack project costs and maintain margin targetsImplement processes to improve scheduling, delivery, and site efficiencyReporting on projects and costs to Managing Director. 3) People & Subcontractor ManagementCoordinate subcontracting team and availability for projects. Assign subcontractors and internal teams to projects, ensuring timelines and costs are met.Monitor performance and site compliance by any 3rd party contractors/Build trusted relationships with trades, suppliers, and contractors.Manage a small team who support operations. Provide instruction, coaching, support and feedback to this team. 4) Process and system review/ developmentConducting internal reviews audits and checks on processes and refine as required. (e.g. job tracking, checklists, scheduling systems)Investigate systems and building methods that could be potential introduced to our businessContinuous improvement on delivery processes and reporting methods.
RequirementsThe personDegree in construction management or equivalent hands -on experienceFormal Project Management training would be an advantage5+ years in project or operations management within the construction sectorExperience with off -site or modular construction is an advantage but not a requirementStrong leadership, organisation, and problem -solving skillsEnjoy leadership, decision making and leading a teamAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and stay calm under pressureProficiency with tools like Excel, Gantt charts, or construction scheduling softwareA proactive, dependable approach and a strong attention to detail.
