About the Position
We are currently recruiting a
Quality Technician
to join the Quality function on a full-time, onsite basis in Carrigaline. Reporting to a Senior Quality Engineer, this role will support quality engineering activities across process improvement, inspection, auditing, and calibration.
This position would suit someone with experience in electronics manufacturing who enjoys problem-solving, working with data, and supporting production teams to drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and implement quality improvements through analysis of quality yields, process performance, controls, and documentation
* Review, update, and maintain quality assurance documentation
* Perform First Article Inspections (FAI)
* Support Quality Engineering in processing quality-related data and records
* Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions
* Support in-process quality controls and inspection activities
* Work closely with Production to promote best practices and continuous improvement
* Conduct internal product, process, and quality management system audits as part of the Internal Audit team
* Act as site calibration lead, managing calibration programmes for equipment requiring periodic calibration
Experience/Requirements
* NFQ Level 6 Certificate or Diploma in Quality, Engineering, or a Science-related discipline
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in an electronics manufacturing environment
* Experience performing First Article Inspections
* Strong understanding and application of problem-solving techniques
* Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
* IPC-610 and/or J-STD-001 certification
* Certified Internal QMS Auditor
* Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams
* Ability to write standard operating procedures, quality control instructions, and training documentation
* High attention to detail with a strong quality focus
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* Strong communication, influencing, and time-management skills
