Area Leader (Social Care Manager 2/CNM2) – Offaly/Tipperary Region Residential Services

Following a review of frontline governance structures across our residential services, this new frontline leadership role aims to ensure Residential Leaders have a balanced workload and can lead teams in delivering high-quality services to residents. The role provides the opportunity for established Residential Leaders with Person in Charge experience to broaden their experience to Day Services, Respite and Pre-Schools.
The successful candidate will join our Offaly/Tipperary management team based in the Tullamore offices and will support the Area Director in driving delivery and continuous improvement of quality services in line with the Organisation’s Vision, Mission and Values.
Responsibilities
* Support, supervise and motivate staff teams.
* Lead and mentor teams to deliver high-quality services to residents.
* Promote active citizenship and community integration for individuals.
* Lead person-centred planning, risk assessment and care planning.
* Lead and support staff in accordance with HIQA standards and statutory requirements.
Person Specification (Key Qualifications and Skills)
* Ability to effectively communicate with individuals, their families, other professionals, and people important in their lives.
* Robust knowledge and understanding of HIQA standards and statutory requirements; experience as Person In Charge or in a mentorship capacity.
* IT skills to include day-to-day email, Word, and Excel.
* Strong leadership, decision-making, and mentoring abilities.
* Excellent knowledge of Assisted Decision Making and Advocacy.
* Knowledge of New Directions Interim Standards, HIQA Regulation Standards, Safeguarding, and Protection of Vulnerable Adults.
Experience and Requirements
* At least four years of managerial experience supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism and individuals with a range of support needs, including behaviours of concern.
* Previous experience as a Person in Charge and HIQA inspections.
* Experience in community integration and leading person-centred planning, risk assessment and care planning.
* Experience in leadership, mentoring, and supervision of staff.
* Must be able to travel between locations and participate in On Call Roster.
* This position will be remunerated appropriate to Qualification.
