We're looking for a reliable and enthusiastic General Operative with a strong work ethic and a love for the outdoors. This role combines customer service, maintenance, and yard duties to keep our garden centre running smoothly.
Duties include:
* Receive and process stock deliveries, ensuring accurate handling and display.
* Maintain cleanliness and presentation of both indoor and outdoor areas.
* Assist customers with product queries and general support.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient daily operations
* Organize and maintain the yard area, including bulk materials, pallets, and equipment.
* Operate forklifts or other machinery (if certified ) to move heavy goods safely.
* Ensure safe storage and handling of landscaping supplies and garden products.
* Support loading and unloading of customer vehicles with larger purchases.
* Monitor yard safety and report any hazards or maintenance needs.
We are looking for
* A hands-on, can-do attitude and willingness to work outdoor / indoor
* Strong communication and customer service skills.
* Forklift certification or machinery experience is a plus (but not essential).
* Previous experience in retail, horticulture, or yard work is desirable.
