You will use problem-solving skills to determine the most effective solution, manage staff, and aid in recruitment.
The role involves a lot of independent working and using your own initiative.
Being able to manage your own time is essential.
Responsibilities
Leadership: coordinate driver resources and develop drivers based at the Service Center to ensure the required company standards are achieved; debriefing procedures to ensure full communication of information to and from customers and colleagues.
Customer service: provide clarity on business expectations for drivers and ensure these standards are achieved; assist various members of the service management team while coordinating customer service requests and related information.
Team work: work as part of the service support team to meet deadlines; collaborate with drivers and service support to achieve desired service levels; support service support operative team members.
Decision making: manage performance to utilize driver and vehicle resources effectively; identify sub-standard customer service and report deficiencies to the line manager; contribute to route solutions for new customer service requirements.
Work processes: adhere to Health, Safety and Environmental policies; coordinate driver documentation and fleet management; collate driver performance documentation and review with the service manager; monitor driver performance and develop product knowledge, service expectations and vehicle specs; support daily administrative tasks and service deliveries as required.
Communications: provide customer service data to the service center management team; communicate business requirements to drivers and ensure clarity on objectives and tasks.
Organizing: plan time to ensure efficient service operation and that all drivers operate effectively.
Company resources: check supporting documentation from drivers; assist in maintaining business systems and processes to monitor visits and service requests; assist in coordinating customer stock requirements and perform regular stock counts on vehicles.
Requirements
Full clean Irish/EU Driving License
Demonstrated leadership skills in any work environment
Experience in or willingness to work in a fast-paced and varied environment
Experience in managing a fleet of commercial vehicles with knowledge of transport legislation would be advantageous; training provided where needed
