Capital Delivery Leader

This role requires a proven leader with significant experience driving complex capital programmes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the delivery of the Infrastructure Portfolio.
The successful candidate will define and establish best practice frameworks, guidelines and policies that determine our standard ways of working in delivery. They will facilitate integration and safeguard daa's Infrastructure Portfolio.
* Lead a highly motivated senior team of Programme Directors and the wider delivery team.
* Ensure execution of day-to-day delivery tasks in a collaborative and performance-driven team environment.
* Develop strong and trusting relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, gaining their support for all aspects of project delivery across the Portfolio.
This is not an IT Role and unrelated to the IT Sector, candidates should have a background in Infrastructure and Engineering.
The Head of Delivery will manage the activities of internal and external teams to ensure the successful delivery of all programmes, from inception through to completion, culminating with handover of assets in line with end user requirements.
Key responsibilities include exerting strict oversight on schedule, cost, and quality, to ensure all projects are delivered safely and in accordance with approved targets.
* Monitor and drive the delivery of all programmes, setting the standards for reporting and challenging deviations from process or best practice.
* Constantly review and assess project/programme performance, to ensure alignment with the organisation's objectives and a focus on value at all times.
They will prepare monthly board papers for internal committees, briefing Senior Leadership on any key issues, progress and performance.
In conjunction with the Head of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), they will drive the HSE framework and standards across the Infrastructure Portfolio, ensuring HSE considerations are at the forefront of the delivery agenda.
Qualifications include a degree qualified in a relevant field, such as engineering, construction, project management, surveying etc. Further post-graduate qualifications of relevance may be advantageous.
Experience includes 20+ years of experience with at least 10 years in a management role and a track record of leading capital delivery programmes.
