HR Consultant - Schoolhouse Hotel & Gastrobar Location: Dublin 4 (Hybrid working available) Contract: Part-time/Fixed-term (with potential for permanent role) Remuneration: Commensurate with experience About the Role: We're seeking an experienced HR Consultant to elevate our HR function at the Schoolhouse Hotel & Gastrobar.
Working directly with the owner, you'll ensure our employment documentation meets best practice standards while supporting our management team in creating an exceptional employee experience.
Key Responsibilities: Review, update and maintain all employment contracts, handbooks and training documentation Implement and manage our HRIS system (Timepoint) Develop and guide managers on HR policies and procedures specific to hospitality Ensure GDPR compliance across all HR processes Manage visa/work permit requirements for international team members Provide strategic HR advice on employee relations, performance management and compliance Support managers with complex HR issues including disciplinary procedures and WRC matters Drive initiatives to improve employee engagement and retention Essential Requirements: Professional HR qualification (CIPD or equivalent) Proven senior HR experience, ideally within hospitality/retail sectors Strong knowledge of Irish employment law and WRC procedures Experience with HRIS implementation and management Understanding of GDPR requirements and visa/work permit processes Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ideal Candidate: Available for immediate start Comfortable working autonomously in a small team environment Open to flexible working arrangements Those returning to work after a career break are encouraged to apply This role offers the opportunity to shape HR practices in a boutique hospitality setting, with potential for progression to a permanent senior position.
