Job Overview

This role plays a crucial part in the successful operation of construction projects. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for managing all project costs and ensuring that they are aligned with the overall project strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the smooth operation of the QS department to ensure that all project costs are accurately reported and controlled effectively.
2. Responsible for agreeing project budgets and managing all project costs to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
3. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Reporting on the overall performance of the project, including monthly CVR and Accrual reporting.
* Specific analysis on the preliminary's performance on the project, including detailed analysis and approval of outgoing sub-contractor and supplier payment.
4. Understand the respective obligations and responsibilities of the parties to the contracts and provide direction to site colleagues.
5. Responsible for the smooth administration of contracts from start-up to final account.
6. Attending and contributing to site start-up meetings with site management.
7. Attending and contributing to site meetings as required.
8. Attending and contributing to sub-contractor meetings as required.
9. Responsible for obtaining all collateral warranties from sub-contractors and making them aware of their obligations under the contract.
10. Ensuring relevant monthly reports are issued in the agreed format and within the timeframe agreed.
11. Responsible for managing overall costs on the project and any variations.
12. Responsible for procurement of all sub-contract packages.
13. Responsible for overall managing of sub-contract packages and signing off sub-contract payments.
14. Responsible for preparation and submission of monthly valuations.
15. Responsible for managing the progress and project accounts of the project and preparation of cash flow forecasts.
16. Ensuring financial position of construction budgets is accurately reported and controlled effectively.
17. Implementing any Value engineering proposals.
18. Ongoing reviews of Subcontractor and supplier performance.
19. Responsible to the client, working with the design team & responsible for the sub-contractors.
20. Growing and maintaining relationships with all customers both internal and external.
