Cpl Healthcare, in partnership with the Irish Prison Service, is seeking experienced General Practitioners for permanent, full-time positions across Dublin West and Roscommon. We want to speak with dynamic GPs with experience in the following areas:
1. General Practice
2. Psychiatry
3. Addiction
4. Emergency Medicine
The Irish Prison Service is inviting applications, from qualified GPs who wish to be considered for inclusion on a panel from which future relevant vacancies for Prison Doctors may be filled.
Primary Care in The Irish Prison Service:
5. The Irish Prison Service is responsible for the provision of safe and secure custody, dignity of care and rehabilitation to people in custody for safer communities
6. The Irish Prison Service seeks to provide primary care services for the assessment, treatment and care of prisoners comparable to those available in the community setting
Prison Locations:
We are currently seeking experienced GPs for posts in various prisons throughout the Irish Prison Service Estate. Vacancies currently exist in Wheatfield Prison and Castlerea Prison.
Candidates will be required to:
7. be flexible, committed and highly motivated
8. establish strong, collaborative relationships with other members of staff of the IPS and other project stakeholders
9. undertake efficient administration and record keeping, ensuring records are maintained in a clear, systematic and auditable manner, and
10. carry out any other duties appropriate to the grade as may be required
Qualifications & Experience
Candidates must:
11. be registered on the Specialist Division of the Medical Council for General Practice
12. have achieved Level 2 Substance Misuse ICGP training or complete this within their probationary period
13. hold a current full and clean Category B driving licence and have access to a car
14. hold valid working rights for Ireland
The Offer:
15. Permanent, Fulltime Contract
16. Salary of €,per annum
17. 39 hours per week (On-call flexibility required)
18. 30 days annual leave
