Electrical Estimator Role
This role is focused on turning specifications and tender information into accurate quotations. It involves ensuring that tender documents are correct, thorough, and meet the client's requirements.
We seek an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience working as an Estimator or Electrical Engineer in a similar capacity with a reputable general contractor.
Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing and submitting electrical tenders within specified deadlines;
* Attending site visits and client briefings to ensure customer satisfaction and address any concerns;
* Collaborating closely with clients and colleagues to review tenders and handovers, providing constructive feedback for improvement;
* Finalizing all tender bids and participating in pre-order meetings to secure contracts and facilitate smooth handovers to Project Managers;
* Liaising with customers to understand their electrical specifications and requirements, interpreting technical documentation and specifications accurately;
* Maintaining detailed records of electrical specification confirmations for all contracts, identifying potential upcharges and requesting necessary concessions;
* Developing strong relationships with suppliers and clients, fostering a culture of collaboration and mutual understanding.
Qualifications and skills required include:
* A minimum of 5 years' experience working as an Estimator or Electrical Engineer in a similar capacity with a reputable general contractor;
* Extensive knowledge and expertise in this field, gained through hands-on experience and continuous professional development;
* Strong analytical, mathematical, and IT skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure;
* A proven track record of delivering high-quality results, meeting deadlines, and exceeding expectations;
* Experience working in the Pharmaceutical, Industrial, Power Generation, Oil & Gas industry is highly desirable.
