The role will afford the candidate the opportunity to input on strategic and innovative projects across all stages of delivery from concept to design and construction.
The ideal candidate should have a strong cross-functional project and contract management background, with a proven track record of delivering large scale complex infrastructure projects through engineering, permitting/consenting, and stakeholder engagement processes.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities will include managing a diverse portfolio of projects delivered across a large framework with a major client in the energy/utilities sector.
Demonstrate broad experience/understanding of multiple aspects of utilities project delivery including technical engineering, planning/consenting/environmental, and cost Be a proactive and motivated individual who thrives working independently and takes intiatives to deliver results.
Ability to identify and analyse issues, exercising judgement to make decisions and drive delivery of large infrastructure projects; Ensuring clear communication channels and efficient reporting between sub-consultants, projects teams and client representatives.
Ensuring that appropriate project controls are in place across teams having regard to budgets, schedule, scope, quality, risk and other performance indicators.
Review and quality assurance of milestone project deliverables.
Reporting and presenting on project delivery to Senior Management Team.
Leading and motivating project team members to ensure a sense of team and a clear understanding of goals and objectives; Demonstrate the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative work environment; Demonstrate enthusiasm to drive development and delivery of large infrastructure projects and programmes of work.
Qualifications You will have 10+ years relevant experience preferably with a construction / energy / engineering background.
Power system industry expertise, utilities / construction experience along with the ability to adapt, innovate and meet changing demands; Broad experience/understanding of multiple aspects of utilities project delivery including technical engineering, planning/consenting/environmental, and cost Excellent organisational, communication and written skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience; Commercial awareness with the ability to make decisions and recommendations in all aspects of project implementation; Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to manage teams and interface between project teams and client representatives; Recognised accredited Project Management Professional (PMP) Qualification.
Full, clean drivers licence.
Desirable Requirements Recognised qualification in energy efficiency / renewable energy.
Experience delivering energy infrastructure projects.
Understanding the operation and development of electricity transmission networks.
