This position is for Module equipment technicians in the FAR BACK-END Process (FBE) in the FSO (FAB SORT ORGANIZATION) department, where you will see the tangible impact of your work on the world around you. Key Responsibilities
Wafer Production: Perform functions associated with all aspects of wafer production, including operations, equipment handling, and process training.
Equipment Maintenance: Conduct maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment, troubleshoot issues, and work on defect reduction.
Technical Proficiency: Utilize technical manuals, specifications, drawings/diagrams, schematics, and verbal instructions to perform tasks.
Problem Solving: Apply problem‑solving techniques, use various tools, and test equipment to address production challenges. Perform electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non‑functioning equipment used in the manufacturing process.
Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and installs/assembles equipment according to specified procedures.
Performs setup, calibration, and preventative maintenance on production equipment, and coordinates with supplier for service and repairs where needed.
Monitors and analyzes all related data to improve and maintain tool performance and address all tool/module related issues.
Creates reports of system failures, updates existing specifications, and creates new specifications that support overall equipment maintenance/performance.
Works with Module Engineering to execute experiments and equipment configuration changes, supports data collection activities, and generally completes tasks per published procedures.
Supports Engineering with module equipment troubleshooting through data analysis and controlled experimentation to meet or improve module availability and performance targets, preventing future excursions.
During factory ramps, works with module engineering and construction teams to ensure tools are installed and/or converted per designs.
Notes
This role is a shift‑based role and requires mandatory onsite presence to fulfill essential job responsibilities. Candidates must have the ability to work on a monthly rotating shift pattern. Exact shift details are shared during the interview stage.
Qualifications
National Framework Qualification (NFQ) Level 6/7 in a technical discipline AND 3+ years in technical/semiconductor/pharmaceutical/biomedical/medical device manufacturing OR 3+ years of hands‑on preventative and corrective maintenance in a regulated environment OR 3+ years in electronics, equipment troubleshooting, installation, repair, and operation in a regulated environment.
Preferred Experience (Not Essential)
Hands‑on maintenance of semiconductor equipment
Influencing the creation of new specifications, procedures, and business processes related to equipment maintenance.
Knowledge of process control systems.
Experience troubleshooting using schematics and complex diagrams.
Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing disciplines – High Precision Maintenance and Smart Place Work Organization.
Maintaining vacuum systems, precision mechanical equipment, or RF systems.
Willingness to travel for assignments as needed.
