Contract Details
Contract Type: Permanent
Contract Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary Scale: €57,103 to €67,901 pro rata per annum (subject to 2026 pay adjustments)
Annual Leave: 34-37 days per annum (dependent on experience) – proportionately less for less than 12 months service
Overview of Duties & Responsibilities
The Clinical Nurse Manager will provide clinical oversight within a large team delivering care and support to adults with disability support needs in St. Laurence residential service. Responsibilities include working with the management team to ensure compliance with HIQA standards, implementing Enable Ireland policies and procedures, supporting best care and practice in disability services, resource management, safe service delivery, staff development, standard setting and monitoring, facilitating communication, and leading the nursing team. The post-holder will also lead risk and safeguarding management across the service.
Essential Criteria
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) as a Registered Nurse.
* Registered in the Division of Nurses to which the application is made (or, in exceptional circumstances, registered in another Division).
* Recognised validated University Degree or an equivalent qualification in Nursing.
* Minimum of 5 years post‑qualification full‑time experience.
* Recognised management qualification.
* Evidence of continuing professional development.
* Minimum of 3 years working at a senior level or in a supervisory capacity.
* Minimum of 3 years experience working with Children/Adults with disabilities (physical disability, autism, learning disability) and their families.
* Ability to provide staff supervision training and development.
* Working knowledge of HIQA Guidance for the Assessment of Centres for Persons with Disabilities, regulations and inspection requirements.
* Eligible to work in the State.
Annual Registration
* Maintain live annual registration on the appropriate Division of the register of Nurses (NMBI).
Desirable Criteria
* Good knowledge of the disability sector e.g. Time to Move On From Congregated Settings.
